Do you remember that time when nothing particular happened?
I think it started out fine. Black coffee and toast with cinnamon.
We probably both went to work.
And looked up useless things on the inter net.
I probably searched for some bands.
And tried to find a good song that I hadn’t heard yet.

It was a pretty good day.

And then when we got home...
We probably had a few drinks and a bite to eat.
We probably went for a walk.
And then complained about very sore legs and feet.
Do you remember that time and how simple our lives seemed back then?
And would it blow your mind if I said I’d like to do it all again?

I’ve got a vague recollection in the back of my brain
That makes me pretty damn sure it was a pretty good day.
I might be bad with names and I might act confused
But I am totally sure that I belong with you.
And I would like to add that you belong with me
And I think most of our friends would agree.
But if a couple few have other things to say…
Well then it’s fine ‘cause we don’t care anyway.
